While in Chicago, I had a wonderful meal. bearmn managed to get us into a rather exclusive Thai Restaurant. With joshjeffcoat and geometrician in attendance, we had a wonderful 12 course custom prix fixe menu. It was a grand prelude to my birthday.

Punny Wine
Last night at dinner with my folks, my friends Andrews & Katherine brought some homemade mead, and some wine. One of the wines was called "Cardinal Zin". Andrew indicated it was from a small some what sporadic boutique California vineyard called Bonny Doon. Cassoulet
When I was in London, I had (what I know now was a cheap version of) Cassoulet; and I've been thinking about it ever since.
